As a Senior Manager with Corporate Social Responsibility in the Walt Disney World Public Affairs and Communications division, Steven A. Miller supports the External Affairs and Government Relations teams with making a world of difference for children and families in the Central Florida community and beyond. He also currently leads the Walt Disney World Ambassador Program, after having served as a Disney Ambassador in 2001-2002. During this prestigious two-year assignment, two cast members are selected to represent the 80,000 individuals who work at Walt Disney World Resort.
Miller began his Disney career in the summer of '97 on the Disney College Program as a merchandise host at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island. Upon graduation from Ohio Northern University in Feb. 1998, he returned to Florida as a professional intern at the Walt Disney World Casting Center. Since joining the company full time in Aug. 1998, he has held roles with merchandise training and development at Disney University and at World Showcase East Operations in EPCOT. He also served as Project Manager for Disney Trading in the 2000s, supporting pin trading experiences and merchandise development for Disney Parks and Resorts in North America and Disney Cruise Line.
Since October 2009, Miller has regularly contributed to DisneyParksBlog.com, sharing stories about Disney merchandise, Disney history and new attraction openings such as TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom Park. He also hosted the “Disney Parks Blog Unboxed” video series, which offered guests a sneak preview of new products created for Disney Parks.
In addition to his role at Disney, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for A Gift For Teaching, a Central Florida nonprofit organization that provides educational resources that empower teachers to inspire future leaders.
Miller holds a Political Science degree with a minor in Public Relations from Ohio Northern University. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, he currently resides in Winter Garden, Florida.
