Senior Internal Comms Execs Share Lessons Learned, Experience and Expertise

Leigh Woisard is a 30-year communications professional, consultant and public speaker. Before leaving corporate America (Dec. 2022), she was senior vice president of corporate communications for Cox Communications - the largest privately held cable/broadband company in the U.S. Throughout her public relations career, she has counseled government officials, executives, and companies such as Stanley Tools, Chili’s Grill & Bar and the New England Journal of Medicine. She has a passion for helping women and other professionals to be intentional about their careers and about communicating their value. She speaks regularly on topics such as Imposture Syndrome, becoming a better public speaker and self-promotion without selling out. Woisard is chair of The WICT Network, a professional development group dedicated to empowering women in media, entertainment and technology. She was named a 2019 Wonder Woman by Multichannel News and is a PRSA Silver Anvil Winner.

Jared Curtis is the director of corporate communications for Maximus. He leads an award-winning team responsible for managing the company’s communications, storytelling and brand management. He has over 20 years of experience in project management and communications. Curtis holds Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications and was recently awarded Ragan Communications and PR Daily’s 2021 Communicator of the Year Honoree. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and holds a B.A. degree from the University of Iowa and is currently pursuing towards his Master’s in Strategic Communications.

Hannah Cho is the vice president of marketing and communications at BMC Software. An award-winning marketing executive with expertise in brand building, storytelling and change management, she has over 15 years of experience in brand marketing, product and corporate communications supporting hyper-growth companies and global, multinational organizations in business growth and expansion, rebranding efforts, M&A, IPO and divestiture. Prior to BMC, she served in senior communications and marketing leadership roles at Blockchain, Anaplan,  CA Technologies, Edelman, Intel and Cisco, among others.
