Karthik Krishnan is the Global Chief Executive Officer for Britannica Group, which includes Encyclopaedia Britannica, Britannica Digital Learning, Britannica Knowledge Systems, Merriam-Webster and Melingo, where he is focused on elevating trustable information in the digital universe and transforming learning inside and outside of classrooms. Britannica Group today generates over 5 billion page views annually through its consumer-facing digital experiences. It also reaches more than 150 million students in 120+ countries across 20+ languages working alongside ministries of education and organizations including UNICEF and World Bank to transform learning. Previously, Krishnan served for more than a decade at RELX (Reed Elsevier, FTSE 100) in various business leadership roles, driving business and cultural transformations and accelerating growth. In his last role, as Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Global Clinical Reference business, he launched products that won coveted industry recognition, including Best in KLAS and Frost & Sullivan Technology Innovation awards.. Krishnan was recognized by former President Clinton for his leadership in launching the Urban Enterprise Initiative. He is an NACD Certified Board member (serves on the boards of Britannica, Melingo and Urban Upbound, a nonprofit focused on transforming the lives of people in public housing) and an Adjunct Professor at NYU - Stern School of Business. On the World Economic Forum Expert Network, Krishnan is a recognized expert on Education, Healthcare and Information Media. He is an advisor to UNICEF and Global Coalition for Education on Youth Skills and Education.
