Emilio Marrero is the Director of Content for Baptist Health South Florida, the largest healthcare system in the region. In this role, he provides strategic direction and oversight for all facets of content production, including written, digital, video, social media and corporate projects. In 2022, the Baptist Health Communications team won 2 PR Daily Awards for its COVID-19 Outreach. Marrero was the news director for Univision WLTV-23 in Miami. As the regional news director for Univision’s Southeast region, he oversaw news operations in Atlanta and Raleigh. He is the winner of three Suncoast Regional Emmy® awards and is a six-time nominee. A recipient of the University of Miami’s Communicator of the Year award, Marrero has been able to apply his journalistic experience and leadership into the development of a branded newsroom that specializes in creating compelling content across multiple platforms. Marrero holds a master’s degree in administration from Barry University and a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Miami. He resides in Miami with his wife and three adult children. He is an avid fan of all Miami sports and is happiest when on the water.
