Authenticity First: 3 Tips to Reach Gen Z on Social – Snapshot

Bernadette Butler launched StoryTap with co-founder Sean Braacx in 2018. After bootstrapping, building a global clientele and experiencing 450% growth in the number of brands using its platform in 2020, Butler and team secured a Venture seed round in Spring 2021 to scale their patented platform and work with global brands to source, create and share authentic video stories. Prior to StoryTap, Butler held several marketing and advertising roles on both the brand and agency side, including for Bell Mobility and at global agency FCB. She began her career at Quarry, an enterprise-level B2B agency in Waterloo. Butler also served on the board of the Women’s Collaborative Hub, a mentorship and networking program for women in business earning the Online Innovator Dynamo award. Butler is also on 2021 Ready to Rocket list, 2019’s Top 10 Women’s Founders Lazaridis Scale-Up Program and part of the top 10 startups selected from 2000, to be one of 10 tech companies to join the first Techstars Anywhere Accelerator.
