Shirley Anne Off

Shirley Anne Off (she/her) is the Director General, Communications at Justice Canada. She has spent over 30 years in the communications field, starting in Arts Administration and then moving to the federal public service. Diversity, equity and inclusion have been at the heart of the work she does throughout her career. She has been fortunate enough to work on issues of justice that impact Indigenous peoples, members of the 2SLGTBQ+ communities, Black Canadians, and other marginalized groups. She holds a MA in Communications from Carleton University where she specialized in feminist cultural policy and representation of women in mainstream media. She lives and works on the traditional territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg people.
