Rachel Thomae is the Editor-in-Chief of UCSD Physician/APP Update, an award-winning newsletter for physicians, affiliates, advanced practice providers and trainees at UC San Diego Health.  Since March 15, 2020, Thomae has written, edited and produced over 100 editions of the newsletter to provide timely, relevant and critical pandemic related updates to her internal audience.  In addition to physician communications, Thomae has written hundreds of magazine articles and over twenty-five books on topics related to parenting, photography and scrapbooking for publications such as American Baby and Creating Keepsakes.  In her free time, she enjoys hot yoga, wine tasting and healthy lifestyle hacks.  She lives in San Diego, California with her fiancée, William, and their two cats, Hari and Frankie.
