Marisa Kollias is the vice president of crisis and risk at Edelman. She’s an 18-year veteran communications strategist who has led high-profile public communications campaigns and strategies to develop and amplify new initiatives on transportation, higher education, trauma, Medicaid expansion, the Affordable Care Act and other public policy issues. She served as a top adviser to private and public-sector executives at the Illinois Office of the Governor, the Cook County Health and Hospitals System and Tribune Publishing. She’s also an experienced media and was a Chicago area television journalist earlier in her career.
