Beth Welter is the vice president of internal communications for The E.W. Scripps Company, where she leads strategies for employee communications, crisis communications and change management. She counsels leaders on strategic communication planning, stakeholder buy-in and message development, while leading change management efforts for mergers and acquisitions and for change initiatives in Scripps’ TV stations and other businesses. She and her team develop proactive communications to promote programs and initiatives and build culture through storytelling. Prior to Scripps, she was manager of associate communications for Kroger and assistant vice president and internal communications manager for Fifth Third Bank.
