Chad Carter is a regional communications director with the American Red Cross, where he's responsible for communications, marketing and public affairs for a region encompassing 42 counties and 4.5 million people. He also serves as the spokesperson for disaster and non-disaster related initiatives, while leading the team responsible for social media and video efforts. Before that, he served as the senior director of marketing and communications for Special Olympics Oregon, and spent the prior decade as a TV journalist covering local and national stories, with appearances on CNN, Fox News, "CBS This Morning," The Weather Channel and dozens of local TV stations.
