Presenter bio: 

Maria Poveromo (@mariapoveromo) is the Director of Social Media for Adobe Systems, Inc. and is responsible for driving social media strategy for the company. Her team established the organizational framework and strategic direction for social media activities worldwide. Prior to this role, Maria led the Global Public Relations team at Adobe for nine years. Before Joining Adobe, Maria held numerous marketing and communications positions at high technology companies located in Silicon Valley and in Europe.

Samantha Hosenkamp is Ragan Communications' Social Media Director. In this role, she creates, manages and engages with multiple online communities for the company and works closely with the marketing, conference and customer service divisions to create a social media strategy to bolster Ragan's brand. Her role in the company's communications plan often extends to PR efforts as well. She contributes regularly to “PR Daily,” Ragan.com and “Health Care Communication News,” writing on topics ranging from social media to health and fitness.

Mark Ragan is the CEO of Ragan Communications in Chicago. He arrived at Ragan after working for 15 years as an award-winning political and investigative reporter for newspapers throughout the United States. He ended his career as a journalist in 1992 after covering three presidential elections, including Ronald Reagan's landslide victory over Jimmy Carter in 1980. Today, Mark is back into the journalistic swing of things at the company his father founded in 1968. In addition to overseeing new product development and the day-to-day operations of the company, Mark acts as editor in chief for the daily Ragan.com news site, the MyRaganTV video platform and the MyRagan social network.

Holly Potter is vice president of Public Relations for Kaiser Permanente. She oversees efforts to promote the company’s story and achievements through both traditional and social media. In addition, her team is responsible for broad public relations, partnerships and stakeholder management programs that help to build Kaiser Permanente’s reputation among opinion leaders and partners in the health, business, philanthropic and advocacy communities.
